Drug Arrests
■ Thomas Curtis Reese, 27, of Golden Gate was arrested Wednesday and charged with possessing cocaine and not properly registering as a sex offender in the state.
After registering an address on Central Avenue in Fort Myers, Reese could not be located by Lee County Sheriff’s deputies.
On Wednesday, he was seen walking out of a home off Golden Gate Parkway and getting into the passenger seat of a yellow Hyundai. Collier County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop and a K9 sniffed out narcotics.
The driver of the car told deputies that Reese lived in the apartment in Golden Gate where he was seen getting into her car. He was arrested at the 2300 block of 45th Street.
■ Michael M. Macomber, 36, of the 800 block of Wiggins Pass Road in North Naples, was arrested at County Barn Road and Charlemagne Boulevard and charged with possession of marijuana, over 20 grams, and intent to sell marijuana. After Collier County’s Sheriff’s deputies did a criminal history check, they found Macomber had been charged with possessing and selling drugs and drug paraphernalia in six different states, including Colorado, California, Pennsylvania, New York and Illinois. He has an extensive history of robbery and theft.
Domestic Violence
■ Philip Wayne Hall, 57, of the 8600 block of Cedar Hammock Circle in East Naples, was arrested Wednesday and charged with battery on a person 65 years or older.
Collier County deputies say he was involved in a fight with his girlfriend after she discovered emails on his cell phone from other women, whom he called “sweetie” and asked him about those messages. He was arrested at the 5800 block of Westbourgh Street.
■ Amanda Ashley Martinez, 25, of the 1700 block of North Plum Street in Immokalee, was arrested at her home Wednesday and charged with battery for a fight involving her mother. Her mother told Collier County deputies that the two got into a fight, wrestling in the hallway and the bathroom, over her daughter’s pot. Eventually, the mother flushed it down the toilet.
Burglary Arrest
■ Angel Santana, 28, of the 6400 block of College Park Circle in Naples, was arrested at his home Wednesday and charged with burglary, petit theft, fraud and dealing in stolen property.
According to Collier County Sheriff’s reports, Santana smashed the victim’s car window to steal several fishing rods. One of the fishing rods was sold to a pawn shop on Davis Boulevard in East Naples on July 6 for $25.
DUI arrests
■ Dale G Mincks, 44, of the 90th block of River Drive in East Naples, was arrested by Collier County deputies at Santa Barbara and Davis boulevards.
■ Joshua Alexander Hurley, 30, of the 1900 block of Vilsand Avenue in North Naples, was arrested Wednesday by Collier County deputies at Pine Ridge Road and Vineyards Boulevard.
Other arrests
■ Antonino Pietro Loduca, 25, of the 100 block of Capri Boulevard in East Naples, was arrested Wednesday at Floridian Avenue and Hardee Street and charged with loitering/prowling.
Collier County Sheriff’s deputies observed Loduca and another male walking on Floridian, both wearing heavy jackets, though it was very hot and humid outside. When Loduca noticed deputies he ran into the bushes. When he was found later, he couldn’t explain why he disappeared between houses and was he was sweating profusely, deputies said.
When deputies searched the area that Loduca had fled they found bandanas and gloves that appeared to have been thrown in the grass.
Because it was a high crime area where there had been several recent burglaries, Loduca was arrested on suspicion that he might have committed a crime or was about to.
■ Eric August Weber, 31, of the 100 block of St. James Way, Naples, was arrested Wednesday by Florida Highway Patrol troopers in Lee County. He was charged with driving in violation of driver’s license restrictions and driving while license suspended/third or subsequent offense.
■ Nicole Lee Gaylord, 25, who lists address of the 7400 block of Pine Drive and 7200 block of Cypress Drive, both in Fort Myers, was arrested Wednesday by Lee deputies at the Cypress Drive address. She was charged with seven counts of uttering a forged instrument/bank note and one count of grand theft.
Criminal mischief
■ An estimated $300 in damage to a gate at Via Solera community in the 16000 block of Via Solera Circle, Fort Myers, was reported damaged on at least two occasions in the past few days.
